Portuguese hotels among the best in the Iberian Peninsula

Travel + Leisure magazine, one of the world's most prestigious tourism publications, has chosen two Portuguese hotels as the best in the Iberian Peninsula.
The magazine, which in 2010 elected Portugal destination of the year, first highlighted Convento do Espinheiro, in Évora, in the Luxury Collection and Spa universe. Set in a former convent, this hotel was distinguished by its services and design.
In second place is Penha Longa Resort in Sintra, which has a restaurant with one Michelin star, and a golf course.
Spanish Marbella Club Hotel comes in third place.
Travel + Leisure relies on readers' opinions to assign these ratings to highlight hotels, cities and airlines, among others.
