Monocle chooses Portuguese restaurant as world's best
Monocle magazine selected Ljubomir Stanisic's Bistro 100 Maneiras in Lisbon as the best on a list of 50 restaurants in various cities around the world.
The publication refers that Stanisic, born in Sarajevo, opened the restaurant in 2010. "It'sthe informal feel and ever-changing cast of interesting and eccentric locals that are the crucial ingredient here," Monocle reads.
The magazine suggests the octopus and the risotto, among other dishes, having praised the restaurant's eclectic menu with Portuguese, Yugoslavian, Italian and French influences.
According to this publication, because Bistro 100 Maneiras is an informal place, in which there is no "maitre" guiding people, makes customers want to linger.
