IACC's study reveals the impact of new generations on events
More technology and younger delegates with different interests are creating new challenges to event organisation. According to a study by the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC), issues such as individual experiences, interactive presentations and personal skills development should be considered when organising a conference, meeting or other event.
The "Meeting Room of the Future" study was first presented in Las Vegas with the input of 180 conference and meeting buyers to identify key trends for the future and clarify how previous ones developed in the past year.
This work confirms it is still more important to provide a more memorable and personal experience that offers delegates more time for creativity, networking and collaboration.
In addition, according to this study, interactive technology has an increasingly wider role and allows for a more flexible presence in meetings, content and presentation style.
There is also a greater demand for outdoor spaces in the meetings itinerary, which has led many oh them to improve their surroundings to achieve a differentiating offer.
