Centro de Portugal was once again awarded for its promotional films, this time during ITB Berlin. The fair promoted the awards for tourism cinema called "The Golden City Gate", which awarded twice the Portuguese institution.

Thus, the new Centro de Portugal promotional film, titled "Next Stop", won the "Silver Bear" (second place) in the Region category. "The Guardian of Naturia", about the Pampilhosa da Serra municipality, also collected a "Silver Bear", but in the Ecotourism category.

The President of Turismo Centro de Portugal and Agência Regional de Promoção Turística Centro de Portugal, Pedro Machado, received the awards and gave an account of the region's investment in this type of promotion. "The films produced by the central region of Portugal continue to amaze the judges of the festivals in which they participate, for both the quality of the productions and the magnificence of the natural and patrimonial scenarios that make this region truly unique. It was no coincidence that the region's previous film was honoured as one of the top three in the world in 2017, just as it is not by chance that this one is already winning prizes," he said, quoted by Publituris.
