IMATA International Congress will take place in hotel Nau Salgados Palace, in Albufeira (Algarve) from the 14th to 19th October.
The conference programme includes technical and scientific lectures, workshops, training and mentoring sessions, and a visit to the Zoomarine Algarve. Its main target are the 1200 members, as well as other parties concerned, both personally or professionally, on marine animal research.
Attendees are animal trainers and carers, Zoos/Aquariums/Research Centre’s Directors, along with international stakeholders (American Navy, Universities), several ONG and representatives of institutions and professional associations (American Zoological Association, American Humane Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, International Association of Aquatic Animals Medicine, International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators, etc.)
Mr. Pedro Lavia, CEO of Mundo Aquático SA (Zoomarine) will host this congress, four years after being the first and only non-American receiving the Sonny Allen Lifetime Achievement Award.
