Montemor-o-Novo
Founded in 1983, this Municipal Library is located in the former convent of S. João de Deus, an eighteenth-century building recovered by the municipality in the early 1980s. In 1991, it became part of the National Public Reading Network and in 2000 it was renamed Municipal Library Almeida Faria, in honour of the writer, a Montemor-o-Novo native. The building has an auditorium that can be made available under prior consultation and conditions to be agreed upon.
