Imperial Hotel is located in the heart of the city of Aveiro, 300 metres from the Ria's central canal, Santa Joana Museum, Forum Aveiro shopping centre, the Tourist Office, 5 minutes from the Train Station and the University of Aveiro. The Monastery of Alcobaça, was built on the 12th century and became the main centre of the religious Cistercian Order, benefiting from the royal protection assured by the first king of Portugal, Afonso Henriques. It is considered the first exemplar of Gothic architecture in Portugal, with austere features, associated with the spiritual way of living of the Cistercian monks who populated the building and influenced the whole Alcobaça area.

The Convent of Christ comprises a magnificent monument complex, made up of several spaces: the Templar Castle of Tomar, the Convent of the Order of Christ, the Wall of the Seven Hills, the Immaculate Conception Hermitage and the Pegões Aqueduct . 
The castle was founded in 1160 and by 1190 the Charola was the Knight´s private oratorium within the fortress. The convent was built between the 12th and 17th centuries.

Founded in 1916, this museum is located next to Viseu's Cathedral, in Paço dos Três Escalões. This structure was built in the 16th century, because a seminary was needed in the city, to teach new members of the Clergy. At the beginning of the 19th century, during the French invasions, the building functioned as barracks and hospital and. In the twentieth century, it was established as a National Museum of Art to safeguard the many 16th century pieces in contained.
