Founded in 2013 in the city of Porto by Pedro de Castro (new media art), Rafael Pinto (photography and audiovisual technologies) and Tiago Pires (set design and creative direction),
Grandpa’s Lab is a multimedia studio dedicated to the creation and installations of Immersive Video-Mapping Performances and Extended Reality Environments (VR / AR).
The different artistic path of each element, allows the studio to explore new vehicles of visual expression. We design our projects from scratch, going through all stages of development: Concept, Design, Construction, Content Creation and Display - this way, we guarantee greater rigor and integrity in them.
Using Video Mapping technology as a primary tool, our creations fall into the areas of Live Performance, Stage Design, Video Sculpture and VJ.
