Algarve – worldwide Golf Destination of the Year for 2020

Algarve has been awarded by IAGTO – International Association of Golf Tours Operators – as worldwide Golf Destination of the Year for 2020.

The region stood out as favourite by the quality and diversity of its golf infrastructures, as well as by the destination’s accessibility (frequent flights to Faro’s airport and cost-benefit ratio).

This is the third time that Algarve is distinguished by IAGTO, after winning the title of best European golf destination in 2006 and 2014.

Votes were recorded from more than 700 golf tour operators, among more than 60 countries. The 20th. Annual IAGTO Awards Ceremony took place at Bivouac du Désert, in Marrakech, on the final night of the International Golf Travel Market.
