365Algarve's 3^rd edition starts on October 4^th and until May its cultural program will offer more than 400 shows aimed at residents and tourists in the Algarve. This initiative aims to boost the region throughout low season months, reinforcing the attractiveness of all the region's municipalities.

365Algarve's program includes more than a hundred concerts, 52 theatre performances, 93 events and cultural heritage tours. In all, it covers areas such as literature, music, theatre, new circus, street arts, heritage, cinema, exhibitions, dance, among others. Traveling is this edition's motto.

This program is financed in 1.5 million euros by Turismo de Portugal and organised by both the Região de Turismo do Algarve and Associação de Turismo do Algarve. In total, in this 3rd edition, 20 projects were selected, five of which supported for the first time.

In its first two years, 365 Algarve promoted 1151 initiatives, which were attended by 275 thousand people. Luís Filipe de Castro Mendes, Minister of Culture, points out that "since its first edition, 365Algarve has been consolidating its program, integrating increasingly diverse and high quality artistic and cultural initiatives that show the dynamics of local venues and agents, the true protagonists in the Algarve. Culture is an essential factor of tourist attraction and should be used as an instrument to boost our territory".

Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretary of State for Tourism, mentions that "365Algarve is increasingly a differentiating factor for those who want to visit the Algarve during low season and must be an instrument to affirm this region as a destination for the whole year. In the last two years, the seasonality index in the region (and in the country) has decreased to its lowest ever. In the same period, the low-season overnight stays in the Algarve increased by 23.2%, which shows that there is still room for growth."
