Farol Hotel

Farol Hotel is literally located on the water, set on the edge of the cliffs of Cascais and overlooking the Atlantic. Cascais, a town of charming old houses and cobbled streets is nestled around a graceful bay on Portugal’s spectacular Estoril Coast.

The hotel, a member of Design Hotels, results from the restoration of a mansion dating from the nineteenth century. Over the years several members of the Portuguese aristocracy had owned it, and more recently, was the property of the Count of Cabral. In 2002 the grand house was converted to a hotel and opened as Farol Design Hotel, establishing a bridge between the classical arches of the past wedded to the lines of contemporary design.
