DIVING TALKS – Portugal 2021 is an international event for promoting and sharing knowledge on themes related to the underwater environment, which will occur in Tróia from the 8th to the 10th of October.
The event is part of a strategy to promote Portugal as an international diving destination.
The main objectives of the Congress are:
i. Hold an event with international attractiveness and visibility;
ii. Bringing top players to Portugal, explorers, divers, scientists, who are currently developing relevant and innovative initiatives, recognized as such by the international community;
iii. To create in Portugal a hub for underwater skills, boosting its development, to export national capacity;
iv. Promote the sharing and debate of the most recent technological discoveries in the different fields of diving support.
This first edition of Diving Talks will bring together approximately 250 participants and an extraordinary panel of "Speakers", who undertake activities related to the underwater environment that are very relevant in the most diverse geographies, and which are monitored daily, on social networks and streaming services, by hundreds of thousands of followers. The presence of these individuals is the guarantee of the event's success and the reason for its attractiveness abroad.
The Congress is developed on two fronts: The "Talks" and the "Exhibition".
The "Talks" are a unique opportunity to watch the presentation of the most innovative activities in terms of diving, underwater studies and technological development.
The lectures will be exciting presentations on cave and wreck diving, underwater cinematography, underwater archaeological work, scientific investigation and underwater military exercises. These presentations will bring Portugal and participants the best of what is being done in these areas worldwide; the most innovative content, the latest works and discoveries.
During the event, participants will be encouraged to broaden their networks and become familiar with examples of how to put their diving goals into practice and make themselves available to participate in projects of international scope in the future.
The other front is the "Exhibition".
The event will feature a 'show and tell' exhibition area that will host various exhibitors from the global diving industry, who will be on hand to present their latest services, products and technologies.
DIVING TALKS 2021 will bring together around 250 participants, all with a genuine interest in diving.
