Palaces and museums: 900 years of Portuguese heritage

500-year-old monasteries, palaces, modern museums with ancient art, and even Roman cities. Portuguese heritage is the tangible testimony of the country's history and people's culture throughout the centuries.

Organising your event in one of these unique venues is a great way to up its prestige. A cocktail at Palácio da Ajuda, with its 19th-century halls, or a meeting at Alcobaça Monastery, adds notoriety to the event and will surely leave a memorable impression on each participant.

Portugal's UNESCO World Heritage monuments can be seen throughout the country and are managed by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage (DGPC). They are responsible for coordinating these equipments, including their availability for social, cultural or business activities.

The activities permitted are under specific regulation that assure the safeguard of the historical and cultural value of each venue. Thus, the provision of these spaces is naturally dependent on the fulfilment of a set of criteria and conditions, defined by internal rules.
