TAP joins Time Out to promote Portugal in the USA

TAP and Time Out New York magazine met to showcase Portugal in the United States in the "A Taste of Portugal" initiative. According to a statement by the airline, the event, which took place on October 9th 2017, "also promoted the Portugal Stopover Program to a large panel of invited guests, which included Portuguese and American journalists, partner companies, opinion makers, Michelin Chef George Mendes and actor Joaquim de Almeida [in the picture]".
TAP also noted that this Stopover Program "started expanding to these markets in 2016 with the opening of the Boston and New York-JFK routes, two destinations that proved to be winning choices." On 10th June, the Toronto route opened in Canada, allowing TAP to already operate in five North American airports.
The company also pointed out that "in the first year of its existence, Portugal Stopover brought to Portugal almost 70 thousand new tourists".
