Portugal intends to be the world's most accessible destination

Portugal wants to be an increasingly accessible and inclusive destination, and with that in mind, a line of funding was created from the Valorizar program, which already has 69 approved projects and 8.5 million euros of incentive, said the Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, during the signing of contracts under the “Turismo Acessível em Portugal” (Accessible Tourism in Portugal) initiative.
"We have been considered in several distinctions: yesterday we were considered Friendly Destination in the World, now the challenge is that we are chosen as the most inclusive and accessible destination in the world. The challenge here is for us to fight so that it is also one of our Oscars," she commented, quoted by Lusa.
Ana Mendes Godinho also stressed that it is important "to prioritise actions that ensure Portugal is increasingly a destination for all, inclusive, and that it is also recognised for doing so."
