The Medieval Journey of Santa Maria da Feira continues winning awards and this year has already brought several distinctions. The last one was in July, when the Spanish magazine EventoPlus recognised the event with gold for Best Cultural Event in a ceremony held at Vistalegre Palace in Madrid.Earlier this year, the Medieval Journey won the "Premio Ciudad de Castellón" award, also in Spain. It was awarded by Fundación Moros d'Alqueria, as well as by the Spanish municipality of Castellón, which have previously distinguished events such as the Venice Carnival or the Oktoberfest in Munich.

The event, which portrays the medieval era surrounding the Castle of Santa Maria da Feira with various activities and shows, also won Best Cultural Event award at the 7thEventex gala in Dublin, surpassing events like Magical Lanten in London and Cork Jazz Festival.
