Village Underground Lisbon (VULX) is an international platform for art, culture and creativity. Launched in London in 2007, it expanded to Lisbon in 2014. VULX’s unique architectural structure is made from shipping containers recycled into coworking spaces and two double-decker buses transformed in a restaurant and a conference room, as well as a skate ramp. Already a landmark in Lisbon’s landscape, VULX is also part of its cultural and social circuit and home to many creative communities.
Village Underground is a multidisciplinary and multifaceted space that hosts diverse projects of many cultural areas. In addition, there is a restaurant — Buzz Lisboeta —, a sound recording studio — Metalbox.pt —, and a venue that hosts regular music and cultural events, like Village Happy Hours, Festival Nova Batida and Ensemble Acorde Maior. Also, it’s a coworking space with about 15 companies and 50 professionals.
