Rosa Mota Pavilion will have 1,400 more event seats
The Rosa Mota Pavilion remodeling project in Porto includes an intervention that will result in "several rooms" with a 1,400 seats capacity "so that we can attract large congresses with three or five thousand people," according to Filipe Azevedo, quoted by Porto.pt.
The person in charge is an administrator for Lúcios construction company, which is part of the consortium that won this contest, which also includes PEV Entertainment and Oliveira Santos Consultores. The project is signed by FAA Arquitetos.
The "new" Rosa Mota Pavilion will be attentive to Alfândega Porto Congress Centre activity, to enhance synergies. The venue, which will not change from the outside, taking into account that it is one of the most emblematic in Porto, will have a capacity for a total of 4,727 people for congresses and seminars.
The Rosa Mota Pavilion will also have 2,370 square metres of free area for fairs and exhibitions and can accommodate 8,660 people in shows. Sports events could bring to the infrastructure up to 5,580 people.
The project is expected to cost around eight million euros of private investment and to be completed by 2019.
