APAVT Congress debates growth challenges
The 44th National Congress of APAVT - Associação Portuguesa das Agências de Viagens e Turismo (Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies), which will take place from 21st to 25th November in Ponta Delgada, will discuss the challenges of growth. The meeting in the Azores aims at debating and sharing of how to boost the growth of tourism, and both main theme and logo are already known.
This is not the first time that the Azores host an APAVT congress. It has already happened in 1995, 2006 and 2013. "Holding this event in Ponta Delgada should be understood as another step, a broad set of concrete actions, all of which aimed at the national and international visibility of the archipelago, as well as the development of good practices of proximity between the community of travel agents and this destination," Pedro Costa Ferreira commented.
The ceremony for the presentation of APAVT's 44th congress was attended by the Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism of the Azores, Marta Guerreiro.
